Other accounts state that the group of black teens were invited to the pool party but when a person allegedly took issue with ‘colored n***er kids in the pool’ and told them to leave, and the teens being guests, did not want to leave and did not appreciate being verbally assaulted due to their race. At some point, the police were called and this is what happened.

Officers can be seen running all around the teenage children, demanding they ‘get on your asses’ and generally escalating a situation. Children who were bystanders are being forced to the ground, handcuffed and put in danger as officers — who appear to be out of control and running, having to be handed back flashlights at one point — continue to speak rough and disrespectfully to children.
After pinning a bikini-clad, 14-year-old girl to the ground, one officer then pulls out his gun and points it at children in the video.
“He grabbed me, twisted my arm on my back and shoved me in the grass and started pulling the back of my braids,” the girl, Dajerria Becton, told Fox4 Dallas on Sunday night. “I was telling him to get off me because my back was hurting bad.”
The child said she asked the officer to stop causing her bodily harm, but the video shows the officer does not comply and puts additional pressure on the child’s back. Analysis of the video is leading to questions of if the girl’s rights are being violated and if she is actually a victim of criminal assault. No officer should have a right to cause injury to a child and continue to injure them if they have no justifiable use of force in arrest.
The bikini-clad girl was clearly overpowered by the officer and likely was not hiding any guns or knives in her bathing suit. Why slam her face onto the ground?
This brings the question: is the officer’s response to the situation appropriate?
Time will tell of that question, as public judgment should not be cast upon the teens or officers until a full independent investigation is provided. Civil rights officials are already expressing concern that investigation into the scene above is being conducted by the very police department to which the responding officers belong.
