Soul Singer Aretha Franklin Passes Away At 76

Legendary soul singer Aretha Franklin passed away today at the age of 76.  The Grammy award winning singer passed after a battle with pancreatic cancer.

With a career studded with numerous hits, awards for excellence and defining a style of music in itself, Franklin’s consideration as many to be the “Queen” is well earned.

Franklin famously performed at the inauguration of Obama, but infamously refused to sing for her President Donald Trump.

Despite that one morally questionable decision, Franklin is a great talent and music legend the world will miss, but her spirit and influence will surely live in throughout humanity.
