One of Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson’s most recent gaffs involves a story where he claims he was accosted by a person with a gun at a Popeye’s Chicken in Baltimore, Maryland.
The crux of Carson’s story is that he had the tenacity to face his would-be assailant and commanded him to go point his gun at one of the employees instead.
Why, if that story were even true, Carson would elect to actually tell people that he did not try to punch down the gun-holder is beyond anyone’s comprehension, but now it seems that the story is an absolute farce.
According to OccupyDemocrats, the Baltimore PD confirmed -via Twitter- that there is simply no record of Carson’s encounter with a rogue gunman at Popeyes. An armed encounter such as that would definitely require a report to the police, which would be on file.
